Description of Role:

 

The Director of Sales is responsible for the development, formulation and implementation of marketing strategies for the occupancy of the Hotel. He/she is responsible for the planning and organizing all activities pertaining to the effective operation of the Hotel marketing, advertising and promotions and public relations.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  1. Develops and oversees marketing plans that identifies target niche and defines a tactical plan in achieving set goals
  2. Plans and implements marketing strategies for the effective marketing of the organization with optimum use of the marketing resources to ensure maximum results with minimum wastage.
  3. Anticipates and projects sales forecasts and monitor market trends
  4. Plans and controls budgetary activities
  5. Reviews operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability
  6. Confers or consults with other Department Heads to plan advertising services and to secure information on meeting customers’ expectations
  7. Monitors customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
  8. Motivates, supervises and appraises staff’s performance in the sales department
  9. Provides guidelines and training to staff in the execution of their duties within the Department
  10. Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the General Manager
  11. Ensure cost effectiveness within the department and to effectively utilize the budget costs
  12. Monitor and review sales production and adjust sales activities and priorities in order to achieve the targeted revenue
  13. Negotiate the best deals with suppliers
  14. Develop a marketing plan
  15. Maintain a smooth Sales operation including processes and personnel to maximise speed of customer response and ensure customer satisfaction
  16. Make promotional packages that are attractive and shall entice the targeted market
  17. Establish and oversee the operations of channels of reservations
  18. Conduct a quarterly and yearly review of production to identify lean and peak periods
  19. Lead, manage and motivate an effective sales force to achieve budgeted results
  20. Work with other departments and properties and provide a Sales perspective
  21. Hire competent staff and ensure continuous training to increase competency

 

Requirements:

 

1.   Degree in Business Administration or Sales

2.   At least 8 years of relevant experience, with 3 years in a similar capacity/ position

3.    Managerial Knowledge in the Hospitality Industry

4.    Excellent spoken and written English and Japanese (if any)

5.    Well versed in use of computers such as PowerPoint/ Excel and Opera

Description of Role:

 

Responsible for overseeing production of all Thai cuisines for restaurant and bar, ensuring the high food standards and appeal to identified customers and guests.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepares necessary data for the budget in area of responsibility; projects annual food and labour costs and monitors actual financial results; takes corrective action where necessary to help ensure that financial goals are met.
  • Trains, and supervises staff involved in the preparation of Thai cuisines which are consistently meeting the standards set by the hotel management and its guests.                  
  •   Schedules and co-ordinates the work of chefs, cooks, to ensure that food preparation is efficiently carried out
  • Plans and reviews menus on regular basis considering factors such as customers base, popularity of various dishes, holidays, costs, etc
  • Establishes controls to minimize food and supply waste and theft
  • Develops and test recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which help to ensure consistent high quality and to minimize food costs; exercises portion control over all items served and assists in establishing menu selling prices. Cooks or directly supervises the cooking of items that require skilful preparation
  • Maintain close awareness of competitive food business and pricing issues and provide such information to F&B Manager and assist in the implementation of business decisions affecting menu preparation and pricing
  • Conducts regular physical inventory checks on food supplies and assesses projected needs and orders supply to meet business volume
  • Ensure that high standard of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen areas at all times.
  • Ensures that all kitchen equipment are kept in good working conditions and they are serviced in accordance with suppliers’ recommendations thereby protecting their long-term value

 

Requirements:

 

  • Proven track record of working experience of not least than 5 years with established hotels in similar capacity
  • Min. diploma in culinary or equivalent, with specialization in Thai cuisines
  • Member of Professional Association/International Chef Association
  • Excellent knowledge of Thai cuisines food preparation and menu planning
  • Excellent market information of competitive Thai food and their pricing policies

The Japanese Guest Services is responsible for the overall care, hospitality and service given to our guest throughout their stay and provides a very personal, detailed, seamless service to Japanese guests.

 

The Japanese Guest Services will take gentle care of all their guests especially Japanese guests from arrival until post-departure without imposing themselves on the guest. The Japanese Guest Services are the local connectors of Japanese guest.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  2. Be able to assist all inquiries, reservation, letter or memo to Japanese guest
  3. Ensure that all sense of Japanese etiquette is delivered properly to all Japanese guests

  1. The Japanese Guest Services are the unique service touch point for the hotel. They are able to provide an orientation of the hotel and offer local connections and access to business event and networks, exclusive social events as well as facilitate gathering for like-minded people. 
  1. Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and local area.
  2. The Japanese Guest Services knows all the preferences of the residents and through this, is able to personalise and tailor the hotel to them.
  1. The Japanese Guest Services must be seen by the guests in response to all the guest needs and requests.
  2. Services to provide not limited to, escort/welcome guests on arrival, explaining the feature of the room, describing our services, offer to make tea or coffee, arrange wake-up calls or taxi services, assist with unpacking & packing, provide arrival pressing of next day suit, shoe shine & organizing belongings.
  1. Ensure a sales attitude is adopted at all times and maintain an awareness of all sales opportunities within the hotel.

 

  

Requirement:

 

  1. Native Japanese Speaking or Thai native with N2 level of Japanese Speaking & Translation
  2. Min 1-2 years experiences as a Butler or Concierge preferably from a Deluxe Premier Hotel or Serviced Apartment.
  3. College Graduate of any 4-year course.  Preferably Hotel Management or equivalent.
  4. Proficient in oral and written communication.
  5. Has an excellent background in guest or customer service.
  6. Able to multi-task, work shift schedule and display grace under pressure.
  7. Possess good grooming and personal presentation.
  8. Self-motivated and able to manage with strong initiative.
